Draxsen started in the Sydney, Australia hard rock scene in 1990 as Ignite and have been rockin’ hard ever since. Influenced by bands such as Type O Negative, Heaven And Hell, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Candle Mass and Saint Vitus they have created their own style of Metal Doom Rock. In the past they have rocked the capitals of each of the Eastern States of Australia – Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane as well as all the towns in between.
The current line up includes Legion, Ric (The Hammer) Thomas, Phil Thomas, and S.D. Harris.
It’s time the rest of the world sees and hears what Australia already knows!
IGNITE
Peter and Legion started to write songs late 1991 and when they had 6 original songs advertised for a drummer. Enter Ric and the band was good to go. After rehearsals over a period of 3 months the band started chasing up some gigs. Armed with 6 originals and 6 covers. The fun was just starting.
